Indianapolis ~ 7/26/08
On Saturday, July 26th, Christy and I went to the Indianapolis Museum of Art (4000 Michigan Road).
Here are a few pictures of the grounds which I actually enjoyed more than the museum itself.

Is this some type of Thistle????
Beautiful Christy.
Foot bridge in a heavily wooded area.
Formal gardens leading to the Oldfields-Lilly House and Gardens (also on the grounds of IMA).
More of the formal gardens.

Ravine garden.
The Oldfields is the former home and 26 acre estate of the late Indianapolis businessman, collector and philanthropist Josiah K. Lilly Jr. The French-chateau style mansion is a national historic landmark.
I am only going to add one picture of inside the estate. My favorite room which was actually the hallway with a black and white granite floor.
And for supper we stopped at Sushiyama in Noblesville.
And had Miso soup.
Chicken fried rice.
California (crab and avocado) and Philadephia rolls (smoked salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese strips).
And my favorite. . .Spider sushi (soft-shell crab, tobiko, avocado and cucumber).
