Town and Country Garden Tour ~ 6/28/08
The Fairmount Garden Club held its annual garden tour on June 28th. I visited all five gardens, but due to torrential downpours off and on all afternoon, I was only able to get good pictures at the Grindle's garden.
Their home is a beautiful Victorian which is in the process of being remodeled.

An interesting hole carved in a tree and filled with Vinca and red Impatients.
A farm implement as yard decor.
You very rarely see grape arbors here so it was a pleasant surprise to see this one.

An old barn on the property.
The Grindle's property is surrounded by farm land. The corn was doing well and already past the anticipated "knee high by the 4th of July". The soybeans in our area are another story.
